Initial Textiles has pledged to help stop the rot in a campaign
to improve public toilet facilities across the UK.
The company has become a corporate champion of the British Toilet
Association, which is calling for a revolution in attitudes to public
conveniences and the toilet facilities provided by businesses for
their customers.
The BTA claims that Britain's toilets were once the envy of world
but in recent years significant numbers have been closed down or
neglected. It campaigns for higher standards in public toilets and
the provision of adequate facilities when and wherever people want
them.
Jonathan Smith, managing director of Initial Textile Services said:
"By becoming a corporate champion Initial Textiles can give
the BTA the support it needs to continue its valuable work."
He added: "The providers of toilets for public use are facing
many pressing issues such as the increase in tourism, an ageing
population, vandalism and environmental concerns. Initial Textiles,
with its tried and trusted washroom services, clearly has an important
part to play in helping local authorities and businesses maintain
good standards in toilet care."
