Email to BTA from Manchester resident
I'd just like to add some support for your campaign.
I just had an awful experience in City Centre Manchester, I am off work due to the bank holiday and my partner is in work so we decided I would 'go in' to the City with her. We got off the train at Deansgate station and walked into Spinningfields (a main business and retail area about 8am).
About half way back from dropping my partner off at work I needed to spend a penny and there is just nowhere to go, I was cramping and although I passed temporary loo's in the Entertainment part of Spinningfields all were locked.
I ended up getting on a train - the first train back at Deansgate station - a train not going where I wanted to go (home) just so I could use the Loo on the train.
Manchester is an amazing city, a city I'm very proud of, a great heritage and lovely architecture BUT it really needs more Public toilets. Open in the early hours and in places where people need them.
