Welsh Assembly Government continues its long term commitment to supporting tourism and public toilets
Tourism employs over 100,000 people in Wales and contributes in excess of £3billion to the Welsh economy and the Welsh Assembly Government recognises the real importance of the sector to Wales.
As part of its continued support of the sector, The Welsh Assembly Government has announced a number of long-term, multi-million pound investment programmes over recent months to provide tourism in Wales with financial and practical support, demonstrating its commitment to supporting and marketing of Wales as a holiday destination.
The Coastal Tourism project includes a Green Sea programme to maintain and improve our coastal heritage. It funds the maintenance of services such as public toilets and information facilities. These practical measures all help to enhance the experience and reputation of a visit to the Welsh coastline.
