Bromsgrove opens state-of-the-art town centre toilet block
Bromsgrove’s impressive new state-of-the-art town centre toilet block, which includes a ‘Changing Places’ facility for people with severe disabilities, was opened on 3rd August.
As part of the new toilet block regeneration, the nearby area has been landscaped including new bus shelters, planting, resurfacing and an improved seating area.
In addition to the Changing Places facility, there is an excellent male toilet with a baby change room and low level facilities for young boys, a female toilet with a baby change room and nursing room, a night access cubicle and a new unisex disabled room. This facility includes a monitor system where a camera watches the outside of the door. By looking at a small monitor inside, users will be able to see whether the way is clear for them to open the door and exit the facility.
BTA provided suggestions and advice as part of the new toilet development.
